As I said last month I’ll be doing a Technique Class each month – last month we did collage stamping and this month it will be Masking.

I love masking as you dont see the final result until the ‘masks’ are removed and it always gets a ‘wow’ from all creating.

Here’s a card I made recently using a masking technique – I suppose it could be referred to as ‘block masking’. If anyone knows the correct term please let me know!

Birthday Foliage

Recipe …
Stamps: French Foliage, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede

I love this card and how it turned out … its a great one for the guys and just change a couple of the ink colours for masking and it would be suitable for the girls as well!

  1. Hi, from the United States. I love this card! I can not come to your class, could you possibly write down the directions so that we can try making this card. I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

  2. Just gorgeous. I don’t use my foliage stamps often enough so thanks heaps for the inspiration. This certainly has that WOW factor, at least for me.

  3. Love this card Leonie…it looks amazing. Love the colour palate. Hope the fresh change in the air this AM was not too shocking for you…..certainly was nippy.
