Beautiful Blizzard

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by today. I have a really cool technique for you today using the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle.

If you know me at all you know I love Snowflakes! I love how not two Snowflakes are the same – well except maybe when you die cut them!

This technique was one we did in my Wednesday Technique Class a few weeks ago now. It can get a little fiddly depending on the die you use but I think the two cards are worth it.

I’ve been trying to find the correct name for this Technique but my searching hasnt found any. So I’m going with Positive/Negative Diecutting or 2 for 1 Diecute cards.

You take one piece of card stock and cut out your dies. Now with the Beautiful Blizzard die it’s just one die but when cut out you get many snowflakes and that lovely Negative Panel that when layered over another colour looks stunning. Especially when you use Bermuda Bay over the stop of the Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper!

How stunning does this card look? You just need to be careful when removing your Snowflakes that you dont rip or bend the negative piece. To adhere your negative panel to your glimmer paper you’ll need to use some Tombow Multipurpose glue or you maybe have trouble getting it to stick.

To finish my card I layered my pieces onto a Bermuda Bay Card base and stamped the Unique sentiment from the stamp set and cut it out with my beloved Stitched Shapes Framelits.

So what do you do with all those left over Snowflakes?

Well you cut your Card layers in the opposite colours to your previous card and after stamping your sentiment you stick them on all over the top layer. Again I used the Tombow Multipurpose Glue but just tiny dots on the back of the snowflakes. I even used some of those little dots the die cuts out as fillers.

To finish this card I’ve simply added a few Basic Rhinestones to a few of the snowflakes. I mean if you have snowflakes you must have bling right?
