Welcome to another ESAD Blog Hop – this hop is to share our Annual Catalogue Favourites with you!
Annual Catalogue Favourites ..
Now when it says favourite I am sure that many would be expecting me to be sharing projects using the Coffee Cafe Suite. Sorry if I disappointed you but today I’m using the gorgeous Just Add Color Specialty Paper pack ..
I love this pack and held a class last weekend and we had lots of colouring therapy making our cards!
In the class we made five cards ..
Softly coloured Tea pot and Cup coloured with Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters. I coloured inside the line of the pot and cup and just used my Aqua Painter to drag the colour in. Sentiment comes from Bookcase Builder Stamp Set.
I love this leaf paper. You can colour it for any season! I opted to use different tones and colours in my Watercolor Pencil pack and tried some blending with different colours. Sentiment is from Colourful Season and I’ve also used some complimentary coloured ribbons and trim to pop behind the saying. I used the Copper Trim, Linen Thread, Mini Black Sequin Trim and the Old Olive Sheer Ribbon.
More fussy cutting for this Watering Can Card. I’ve also used both Watercolour Pencils and my Stampin Write Markers for colouring on this card. I wanted the can to look like one of those metal painted cans so just coloured with my pencils along the edges and blended with the Aqua Painter. The flowers are all coloured with my Stampin’ Write Markers. The hello sentiment is from Eastern Beauty Stamp Set.
This is another favourite .. the page of the rows of houses reminds me of my trip to San Francisco in 2013 and the tour along the streets lined with the old houses. I sponged the inks on the top layer using pear pizzazz and soft sky. The houses are coloured using the inks from the lids of the ink pads with the Aqua Painter. I then touched up my doors with markers. The sentiment is from the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set.
This next card is my favourite …
I was a little unsure what to do with the feathers then this idea popped into my head! I did a watercolour wash on my top layer of Shimmery White using Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.
The centre of my Dream Catcher is cut from Vellum and stamped in Soft Suede – the centre stamp and the sentiment is from Eastern Beauty. The three feathers are coloured in Lemon Lime Twist with Island Indigo highlights, Berry Burst with Fresh Fig Highlights and Peekaboo Peach with Pumpkin Pie Highlights.
Which is your favourite?
