Good Morning … it’s going to be a busy day of packing today and final preparations before I head into the city to stay before flying off to New Zealand on Tuesday morning. First though I wanted to share with you my sweet Easel Card using A Little Wild.
A Little Wild Easel Card
I was recently to asked to make a Baby Naming Day Card for one of my Weight Watcher’s Coaches. Oh course I immediately said yes and was thrilled she asked me to make one for her. Then fear struck – I didnt have any ‘Baby Sets’.
What to do … Well I remembered I had the ‘A Little Wild’ stamp set and immediately the Easel Card came to mind. So this is what I made …
The little Elephant comes from the A Little Wild Stamp set and it really was perfect as the Babies’ name was “Ellie”.
I wanted to do her name in letters and the Pick a Pennant Stamp Set was perfect for that part too. It’s perfect as it has both the letters and a couple of different pennants to use.
I used the sweet papers from Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper Pack and coordinating colours for the card base.
Stands by sitting behind the bottom panel. To create this Easel base I simply took a basic card base (297mm x 105mm) folded it in half and burnished with a bone folder. I then folded the top half in half again to create the easel. Then it was just a matter of doing the layers and mats.
It lies flat for easy posting or popping in an regular C6 envelope.
Of course I had to decorate the envelope as well! I stamped the little Elephant lightly water coloured her in. Such a sweet little image for Baby cards dont you think?
