Freshly Brewed Projects BLog Hop with the Latte GIrls

A Litte Sneak Peek

I am sure you are a little like me and when there’s news of a new Annual Catalogue we all want to have a little sneak peek to see what might be coming. It’s all very exciting and a great time to be a Demonstrator as we can order some items early!

For my project today I’ve used the lovely Free as a Bird Stamp Set along with the Stitched Lace Dies and a little water coloring to create this card …

I am loving this Stitched Lace Die. You can do full card panels, borders and all sort of accents! My border is two rows of the lace pattern. I cut a full panel then used the edgelit to cut it down. I got two pieces/borders from one quarter sheet.

I’ll tell you a little story about this card. When I was creating it I figured I’ll stamp and colour the images then cut them out with the Die cuts that come with this set. Then when it was time to cut I realised the dies were stitched labels and not birds and flowers. After a little giggle at myself I figured a little fussy cutting can be therapeutic!

My card also has some water coloring. The images are stamped in Jet Black Stazon then water coloured with the Aqua Painter and the ink from our Classic Ink Pads.

Hello with Free as a Bird for a little Sneak Peek by Leonie Scrhoder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

My birds are coloured with Soft Suede on the wings and top on their head. Then Rococo Rose around the edge of the body then Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron in the centre. The branch is done in Soft Suede and I used Mossy Meadow for the Leaves. The flowers are coloured with Rococo Rose.

To complete my card I’ve added some of the Petal Pink Ordandy Striped Ribbon and used my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker to create some splatter to the card base.

The sentiment is stamped in Jet Black Stazon ink and punched out with the Classic Label Punch.

Let’s go hopping …

Now it’s time to hop around and see what the other Latte Girls have made for you today …
